Family Film is a full-service film, TV and commercial production service company founded in 2011, with a footprint across Eastern Europe: Romania, Hungary and Serbia & Montenegro, plus partner companies in Georgia and Azerbaijan. It is the exclusive Production Service Network (PSN) partner for both Romania and Serbia. The core jurisdictions run cash rebates of up to 30% (up to 37.5% in Hungary via its foreign-spend uplift) on qualifying local spend (Montenegro 25%); Serbia is the only one whose rebate also covers commercials, at 20%.

Family Film is an independent full production services company with offices in Bucharest, Budapest and Belgrade. We have been producing international commercials, branded content and feature films since 2011: over 250 productions for clients in more than 30 countries, and most of those collaborations became long-term relationships rather than single jobs.

We operate as your complete local partner. You send the brief; we handle crew, locations, permits, logistics, cultural qualification and incentive filing. One contact for three countries, from €150k to multi-million, and one cost report at the end of it, whichever borders the schedule crossed.

Budapest is our cinema office: features, series and long-form for international commissioners, on the highest incentive in the region at up to 37.5% of qualifying spend. Bucharest and Belgrade carry the commercial and branded work, with Serbia the only jurisdiction of the three whose rebate covers commercials at all.

None of that is what clients come back for. They come back for the part we have been building since 2011: location owners and permit offices that pick up the phone, department heads we have booked season after season, and a crew that has already worked together. It is why the first shoot here costs less than it would at home, and why the second one is easier than the first. Clients from our earliest years are still shooting with us today. Miss that and you are paying a stranger to learn your production from scratch.

Giuliano Doman

Founder · Executive Producer

Giuliano has spent twenty-five years in production. In 2011 he founded Family Film in Bucharest and built it outward the slow way: office by office, crew by crew, into a three-office network across Romania, Hungary and Serbia & Montenegro, with partner companies in Georgia and Azerbaijan.

Under his lead, Family Film became the exclusive Production Service Network partner for both Romania and Serbia, and its archive has grown past 250 productions for clients from more than 30 countries, for brands including IWC Schaffhausen, ASICS, Ferrari World and Apple. He still line-produces himself: on many of the campaigns in the archive, the producer credit carries his name.

The number he actually runs the company on is not in the stats above: it is how many clients come back. Most collaborations become long-term relationships, and clients from Family Film’s first years still shoot with the company today.

Anna Sesztakova

Partner · Executive Producer · Head of Hungarian Office

Anna has led the Budapest office since early 2016, with over a decade of production experience in Hungary. She’s produced or executive produced 50+ international campaigns for brands including Longines, OPPO, Samsung, Hyundai and Mastercard, plus six feature and long-form projects — among them Netflix’s action feature Jewel Thief and a 2025 Great American Family Christmas romcom.

Hungary is a strong base for features and long-form work, backed by a no-cap incentive of up to 37.5% of qualifying spend with foreign-spend uplift. Productions there run through Anna and the Budapest office.

03 · Belgrade · Serbia

Doloris Askovic

Partner · Executive Producer · Head of Serbian Office

Doloris covers Belgrade and is the first point of contact for productions shooting in Serbia & Montenegro. Her recent credits include Braun for P&G, McLaren, A1 and Aldi.

Serbia is the only jurisdiction in the group whose cash rebate also covers commercials, at 20% — which is why a large share of the region’s advertising work is placed there.
