Family Film is a production company in Bucharest providing full production services across Romania, and the exclusive Production Service Network (PSN) partner for the country; no competing PSN company operates here. Our Bucharest line producers handle international features, episodic television, documentaries and branded content shooting on Romanian locations.
Romania offers a 30% cash rebate on qualifying local spend for feature film, documentary, animation and short-film productions. (Romania's incentive does not cover commercials; for commercial and TVC rebates, Serbia & Montenegro is the right jurisdiction.) We handle the cultural test, registration, expenditure tracking and the subsidy filing, so the rebate arrives as a direct cash transfer.
Bucharest has hosted international shoots since the 1970s. Crew day rates run 30–40% of UK equivalents, every head of department speaks English, and Buftea Studios plus local equipment houses mean no carnet and no shipping.
