Production company in Bucharest
Family Film is a production company in Bucharest providing full production services across Romania, led by Giuliano Doman, founder, executive producer. International agencies, brands and production houses hire us as their local partner: you keep the director, the DOP and the creative, and we deliver everything it takes to put the camera on set, including the cash-rebate filing.
Bucharest has hosted international shoots since the 1970s. Crew day rates run 30–40% of UK equivalents, every head of department speaks English, and Buftea Studios plus local equipment houses mean no carnet and no shipping. Romania doubles for period Europe, Gothic and fantasy worlds, Mediterranean coastline and Eastern-Bloc cityscapes.

Production company, production house or fixer in Bucharest?
A production house originates its own creative. Family Film produces, but for the agencies, brands and production houses that own the creative rather than against them: the Bucharest office is the local partner an international production hires to execute a shoot in Romania: line producing, crew, locations, permits, equipment, casting, logistics and the rebate filing.
A fixer is one person opening doors for a two-person documentary or stills unit. If that is the whole job, a fixer is the right hire. Full definitions are on the FAQ.
